Em Cariglino, after a long self-imposed exile due to nervous illness, wants to emerge from her well to shame mankind, or, at the very least, confuse it. She has, fortunately, recovered from the belief that she is uniquely an unserious, flaky crank — specifically the bit about that being "unique." She still, despite all her efforts to deter herself, wants to write critically about technology, disability, and gender.
